So You Want to Take Lessons…

How Lessons Work:

  1. Schedule your first introductory lesson!

  2. Students are billed monthly after the first meeting. Charge for lessons is $50 for 50 minutes, totaling $200 a month for 4 lessons.

  3. Students have one free reschedule if they need to miss their lesson unexpectedly. I am usually flexible if I get advanced notice, but have limited availability. After the first missed lesson all following missed lessons will be billed as normal.

  4. If you can find a friend to take lessons with, both of you will receive a $15 discount off your lesson price.

  5. Cash discounts are also available upon request.

  6. Venmo, cash and checks are all accepted forms of payment.

Teaching Philosophy

I believe that music is for everyone, regardless of their background and life experience. I do not believe in “talent,” but I do believe in the love and joy that music inspires.

I love and care about each one of my students and their emotional and psychological well-being is always my first priority. I believe that it is important for educators to cultivate a caring community where everyone feels safe, where students know that it is OK to make mistakes and to fail.

The core of my educational philosophy is student centered. I believe that every person is different and strive to tailor lessons based on individual needs. While I have been trained in many different educational philosophies (Suzuki, Kodaly, Orff, etc.) I tend to use a combination of many different approaches based on what works best for each person.

  • Everyone gets one free reschedule if they need to miss their lesson unexpectedly. I am usually flexible if I get advanced notice, but have limited availability. After the first missed lesson all following missed lessons will be billed as normal.
